Exploring FPGA Switch-Blocks without Explicit Pattern Listing

چکیده
Increased lower metal resistance makes physical aspects of Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) switch-blocks more relevant than before. The need to navigate a design space where each individual switch can have significant impact on the FPGA’s performance in turn automated switch-pattern exploration techniques increasingly appealing. However, most existing fundamental limitation—they use CAD tools as black box evaluate explicitly listed switch-patterns. Given time needed route modern circuit single architecture, number switch-patterns that be tested quickly becomes negligible compared size space. This paper presents technique removes this limitation by making entire visible router and letting it choose switches added pattern, based requirements circuits being routed. key preventing from selecting arbitrary would render final pattern excessively large is apply same negotiation principle used remove congestion, just opposite direction, make signals reach consensus which are worthy included switch-pattern.

Sequential Pattern Classification without Explicit Feature Extraction
Feature selection, representation and extraction are integral to statistical pattern recognition systems. Usually features are represented as vectors that capture expert knowledge of measurable discriminative properties of the classes to be distinguished. The feature selection process entails manual expert involvement and repeated experiments. Automatic feature selection is necessary when (i) e...
متن کاملGeneric Universal Switch Blocks
A switch block M with W terminals on each side is said to be universal if every set of nets satisfying the dimension constraint (i.e., the number of nets on each side of M is at most W ) is simultaneously routable through M [2]. In this paper, we present an algorithm to construct N -sided universal switch blocks with W terminals on each side. Each of our universal switch blocks has N2 W switche...
متن کاملDocument Listing for Queries with Excluded Pattern
Let D = {d1, d2, ..., dD} be a given collection of D string documents of total length n. We consider the problem of indexing D such that, whenever two patterns P and P− comes as an online query, we can list all those documents containing P but not P−. Let t represent the number of such documents. An index proposed by Fischer et al. (LATIN, 2012) can answer this query in O(|P|+ |P−|+ t+ √ n) tim...
متن کاملAlgorithms for FPGA Switch Module
We consider a switch module routing problem for symmetric array FPGAs. The work is motivated by two applications. The rst is that of eeciently evaluating switch module designs 9]. The second is that of evaluating the routability of global routing paths for a placement on this architecture. Only an approximate algorithm was previously known for this problem. In this paper, we present an optimal ...
متن کاملExploring Explicit Security Actions
The security burden on the user can be lessened by automating security tasks or by making them more implicit (i.e., by embedding or mapping security actions to user tasks or applications). Doing so is in keeping with the reality that for users, security is almost never their primary goal. However, there seems to be a number security tasks which necessarily require involvement from users in ways...
